The Challenge
In 2020, our team discovered that dating app users had a slightly higher conversion rate than the site’s average user. Based on this insight, the team experimented with adding product-swiping features on a dedicated landing page. Customers could "match" with furniture and other items they loved, mimicking a traditional dating app. In 2022, the team needed to figure out how to keep the dating campaign exciting. Given the success of the prior years’ campaigns and a new wealth of data to draw from, the team recommended that we leverage learnings from last year's campaign in a newer and stronger effort.
The Solution
To drive maximum eCommerce conversion, it made sense to go fully digital. "True Love: Just a Swipe Away" came to life across search ad banners, site-organic as well as paid and organic social ads. A 2X traffic increase compared to last year thanks to larger media investments and a 400% increase in email and SMS opt-ins gave us plenty of reason to fall in love again. The campaign was nominated and won a 2022 AMY Award for E-Commerce in Lead Generation.
